It sets no cookies and never stores your visitors’ IP addresses, so you can see how your site is doing without a cookie banner. This plugin adds the Galytics tracking script to your site. Paste your analytics token, and you are done. **Features** * No cookies, and IP addresses are never stored * Pageviews, visitors, sources, countries, devices and top pages * Custom events, goals, scroll depth and session replay * Unlimited websites and team members, no per-seat pricing * Hosted in the EU, built in Denmark * Your own visits are not counted when you are logged in **Why switch from Google Analytics?** Several European data protection authorities, including the Danish Datatilsynet, have found that using Google Analytics breaks the GDPR because data is transferred to the US. Galytics keeps your visitors’ data in the EU. ### External services This plugin connects to Galytics (https://galytics.net) to provide web analytics. Nothing is sent anywhere until you add an analytics token from your Galytics account. Once a token is set, every page on your site loads the Galytics tracking script from galytics.net, and each visitor’s browser sends data to api.galytics.net: * On every pageview: the page URL, referrer, UTM and gclid parameters, screen size, browser user agent and, where the browser offers them, client hints (browser version, device model and OS version). * While the visitor is on the page: how far they scroll, whether they are still active, and any custom events your site triggers. * With the Full script only: a session recording of the page and the visitor’s mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. Everything typed into form fields is masked before it leaves the browser. The visitor’s IP address reaches Galytics with each request. It is combined with the user agent into a keyed hash that groups pageviews into a visit, then discarded and never stored. The visitor’s country is taken from the network, not looked up from the address. Install and activate the plugin. 2. Create a free trial account at [galytics.net](https://galytics.net) and add your website. 3. Copy the analytics token from your website’s settings in Galytics. 4. In WordPress, go to Settings > Galytics, paste the token and save. ## FAQ ### Do I need a Galytics account? Yes. The plugin sends your site’s statistics to Galytics, where you see your dashboard. You can try it free for 30 days. ### Do I need a cookie banner? Not for Galytics. It sets no cookies and does not track visitors across sites. ### Which tracking script should I choose? Full includes session recordings. Slim records pageviews and custom events only, and is smaller. Manual is for sites that want to decide themselves when a pageview is sent. ### Why don’t I see my own visits? By default, logged-in users who can edit posts are not tracked.
